The St Joseph Band Club is holding an open day that the general public are welcome to attend on Sunday the 24th of August.
The local community will have the opportunity to see the ongoing refurbishment works on the formal committee room which next year will host the musical archive. Several activities are being planned for the open day including exhibitions and talent shows.
Military vehicles dating back to the second World War will be exhibited in front of the club’s premises from 9.00am onwards. At 11.00am, the Local Council will inaugurate a local talent and old photos exhibition which will remain open until Sunday the 31st August, which is the feast day of Our Lady of Loreto.
Several musical performances and dance displays from local talents will also be held throughout the day. The Red Cross Gozo Section will hold a thirty minute drill.
The event is being organized in collaboration with the Ghajnsielem Local Council. Radju Lauretana will broadcast live from the club’s premises.
