In the occasion of the Olympic Games being hosted in Beijing, on the 14th August 2008, MaltaPost p.l.c. invited for an official visit, the Chinese Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Chai Xi.
During this visit, the Ambassador was presented with a complete philatelic set, which MaltaPost issued earlier this year to commemorate this unique event. The set included the latest philatelic product – the Philatelic Bureau Card remembering the day 08-08-08, which coincided with the inauguration date of the same Olympic Games.
