In a statement issued today, police said that they had arrested a man that had been found in possession of packets of heroin.
The 56 year old man had been under surveillance for some time by police, as had his residence on the outskirts of Victoria.
The decision was made to stop and search him, and check his residence. The man was carrying herion on his person, and further packets of the drug along with weighing scales and a quantity of cash were found at his property.
The police are continuing their enquiries.
