Gozo Diocese appoints environmental delegate

Gozo Bishop, Mgr. Mario Grech, has appointed Ms. Pauline Grech as his delegate representative for environmental affairs.
Ms. Grech was educated at the University of Malta Ambjental, (1983-1988) and specialised in Biology. During these years she worked with UNEP studying contamination of the Mediterrenian Sea under the supervision of Prof. Victor Axiak.
Her thesis, Awareness of the Maltese Natural Environment: A Survey, was published by the foundation of International Studies of the University of Malta.
She worked as a teacher for some time and during this period was responsible for the Eko-School project.
For a number of years she was nominated by the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs and the Environment as a member of the tal-Fond ghall Ambjent.
Currently Ms. Grech is the head of a government school and is also a member of the MUSEUM society.
Recently Ms. Grech represented the Gozo Diocese at a public discussion held by the Ministry of Gozo about the Eko-Gozo Project.
