Alternattiva Demokratika
Tomorrow, Wednesday 18th June, the European Parliament Petitions’ Committee will be dealing with five complaints lodged separately by two Maltese nationals, an Irishman, a Dutchman and the the Federated Association of Travel and Tourism Agents (FATTA), on the Commission’s delay in acting on a complaint against the Maltese departure tax.

Arnold Cassola, Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party Chairperson, augurs that the European Parliament Petitions’ Committee, which includes Maltese MEP Simon Busuttil, recommends the immediate lifting of this unjust tax on residents in Malta as opposed to the Maltese Government’s decision to eliminate this tax only from next November.
