Private and Confidential Music (PNC) label UK, in collaboration with Batista Leisure Group, have announced the launch of the hit single ‘Per Sempre’ by David – The Gozitan Voice. It is a unique pop ballad with a mixture of Anglo/Italian lyrics.
The song is written and produced by Ben Robbins, Steve Balsamo and Anthony Callea. ‘Per Sempre’ has already enjoyed chart success in Australia, for pop idol singer Anthony Callea.
David Mario Fenech is a 21-year old university student from Fontana, currently training to become a Mathematics teacher. Being a musician he is also busy studying music and receiving SLS voice training under the British teacher Heather Baker.
He began singing at the age of 7 years and throughout his childhood, he sang in churches and soirees. David first began participating in song festivals when he was 13 years old, making his debut in the Marian Song Festival 2000.
In 2004 David won second place in the Marian Song Festival, the following year, in the Marian Song Festival 2005, David took first place.
In 2006, his success continued as he won first place in two categories of the Mosta Song Festival together with the Overall Cup.
It was back in October 2007, at a vocal showcase organized by Mediterranean Vocal Studio (MVS) Malta, that scouts from PNC music discovered David’s pop opera vocal talent, and immediately invited him to their UK London studios to record ‘Per Sempre’. The recording and production took 48 hours amidst great dedication by the experienced PNC Music label producers.
PNC Music label have produced chart successes for previous clients such as George Michael, Steps and Katherine Jenkins amongst many others. ‘Per Sempre’ is another outstanding production. PNC Music Label and Batista Leisure Group said they now look forward to a successful radio play and charts run for the song.
David’s record is being released on the 30th of May in several countries including Malta.
The small Island of Gozo has turned out yet another fine performing artist.
