Louis Grech formally elected as the new PL Deputy Leader

The Labour MP Louis Grech has this evening been elected as the new Deputy Leader for Parliamentary Affairs of the Labour Party.
The Labour MP obtained more than 97% of the votes, after 749 delegates out of the 789 that were eligible voted, with Louis Grech obtaining 724 votes.
There were 16 votes against, 6 invalid and 3 abstensions. The Labour MEP was the only candidate for the post. He had been proposed by MP Chris Cardona and was seconded by MPs Karmenu Vella and Joe Mizzi.
