Home-Start Malta has recently launched a recipe book – Toghma Tajba – which includes healthy and easy to prepare recipes, ideal for families leading busy lives.
It includes starters, main courses and desserts recipes, prepared from volunteers, friends of Home-Start and Maltese personalities including: Kate Gonzi, Michelle Muscat, Gemma Mifsud Bonnici, Sina Bugeja, Claudette Pace, Peppi Azzopardi, Stephanie Spiteri, Andrea Cassar, Marbeck Spiteri, Angela Agius, Francesca Rizzo, Claire Agius Ordway, David Bajada, Marie Benoit, Louise Doneo, Carlo Borg Bonaci, Josette Grech Hamilton and La Barokka.
All funds collected from the sale of this book will go in aid of Home-Start Malta, a service offered by Agenzija Appogg. Volunteers with parenting experience offer support to parents who for some reason or another are finding it difficult to cope.
Families having children under 5 years old, asking for this service are given the support and guidance needed when facing challenging situations. These may include illness, multiple birth, mental and physical disability, isolation and need for assistance in parenting skills.
Home-Start volunteers build a friendly and supportive relationship with parents. They also offer practical support and encourage the parents to spend more quality time with their children.
Home-Start Malta started off in 2006 and is supported by Agenzija Appogg, and sponsored by HSBC Malta Foundation and Vodafone Malta Foundation. Home-Start Malta would like to thank all the persons who believe in the service and who are always ready to give their support. Furthermore, Home-Start Malta would also thank all those personalities who contributed in the publication of this book.
Toghma Tajba will be on sale in the coming days at the price of €10. Those interested can order a copy of this recipe book by contacting the organiser of Home-Start Malta on 2167 8043 or 9901 8398, or by sending an email on firstname.lastname@example.org or visit http://www.appogg.gov.mt/.
