The Malta National Team won two bronze medals in the Ika Olympic Culinary Championships in Erfurt Germany last week. This is the first time that this Malta National Chefs team has participated in these Olympics after those of 2004. It has been a great experience for the new team to be part with the rest of the Culinary World teams.
The Ambassador of Malta in Berlin Mr Karl Xuereb was proud to be present with the Malta Chefs Team during their Dinner competition in the Parade du Chef. He also had time to watch the team working and talk with all the Maltese representatives. He was accompanied by his wife Daniela and his son.
The Ambassador together with the President of the Malta Chefs Society Guido Debono sampled the food during the dinner prepared by the Malta chefs during the competition.
The menu was based on Maltese products such as the local fish, pork, rabbit, goat cheese, pumpkin and carrob seed juices.
