MEPA denies claims made by Ramblers Association on Dwerja

dwejra-boathouses.jpgThe Malta Environment and Planning Authority has issued a statement referring to comments attributed to the Ramblers Association that fines collected from the sanctioning of boathouses in Dwejra are being used for the construction of a cafeteria.

“This assertion is completely untrue,” the authority said. Moreover, it added, “MEPA , earlier this week, stopped the works on the construction as it is investigating if these are following the approved plans.”

The authority concluded by saying that, “if RAM feel that they want to change their stand on the Dwejra Action Plan, that is within their right to do so, so long as they stick to the truth.”

OK MEPA identified the alleged wrong information of the Ramblers. The question for MEPA is:- Is there ANY truth to what the Ramblers or others are saying? If there is some truth, why not say that they are right at least in those issues?
