48-year-old Joseph Spiteri of Xaghra, has been fined €209 after pleading guilty to the illegal possession of explosive material, which was found in his van at Xaghra, on and before March the 22nd.
The court also ordered that his van be confiscated.
Mr Spiteri, who plead guilty to the charges brought against him, was also charged with producing and storing fireworks without the necessary police license.
Magistrate Dr Paul Coppini presided over the case at the Gozo Courts.
