Solar World Cinema visiting Gozo and Malta with free shows

Solar World Cinema is a mobile cinema powered completely by solar energy. It is a specially designed van with its own solar power unit including three solar panels on the roof.
The Cinema will present three open air screenings in Valletta – Birgu and Gozo. Where in collaboration with short film festival Kinemastik it will present a special programme: 2018 Eindhoven/Brabant – Valletta 2018, as both cities/regions are official Canditates for the 2018 Cultural Capital.
World Cinema tours with different mobile cinema’s in three different areas: The Netherlands, Europe and Latin America. On each tour, Solar World Cinema works together with local partners and initiatives presenting open air short film screenings.
SWC and Kinemastik joined forces to be able to offer the Maltese public a special programme of short ducth films from Eindhoven|Brabant, including a NIAF selection (Dutch Animation Institute) and Maltese short films all mixed together.
Kinemastik will be hosting the Solar World Cinema from 3rd July to the 8th July.
Tuesday 3rd July – Market Square – Merchants Street – Valletta 8:30pm
Friday 6th July – Marsalforn (next to the breakwater) Gozo – 8:30pm
Satruday 7th July – Waterfront Pier – Birgu 8:30pm
Each event is free for the public to enjoy, everyone is invited to attend, please bring a chair of cushion for seating with you.
