Feast of the Calling of the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu

This morning the Bishop of Gozo led a Solemn Mass at Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary on the occasion of the feast of the Calling of the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu.
He was accompanied by a number of priests and religious from all over the Maltese islands. At the end of the Mass, a Te Deum was sung as a thanksgiving for the graces bestowed on us through the intercession of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu.
Afterwards the Bishop Mgr. Mario Grech entered the chapel and recited a prayer in front of the sacred image of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu.
It was around 10.00am on the of 22nd June 1883 when Karmni Grima heard a voice calling her three times ‘Come! Come! Come!’ as she was passing close to Ta’ Pinu Chapel.
