The Secretary of the Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK) addressed the FACE (Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation in the EU) General Assembly in Brussels last week regarding the recent EU Commission’s decision to take Malta to the European Court of Justice over spring hunting.
Through its 36 members, the national hunters’ associations of the Member States of the European Union and other Council of Europe countries, FACE represents the interests of over 7,000,000 European hunters.
FKNK’s Petition which is being signed by any European citizen who agrees with the appeal, was also presented to the General Assembly.
Already several heads of the various national hunters’ associations present at the Assembly have signed the Petition in representation of their country’s hunters, and others are expected to follow.
The FKNK said it would like to stress the importance of this Petition to the general Maltese population, and that this can be signed at the various FKNK outlets around the Maltese Islands.
