Man stabbed during a hearing at the Gozo court todayThe Police are to question a 32-year old man from Zebbug, following an incident which  took place during a hearing at the Gozo Court earlier today.

The Zebbug man was being prosecuted in a civil court hearing before Judge Josette Demicoli, when it was alleged that he assaulted two people, one was a witness in his case, who he attacked with a knife, the other was a lawyer, Kevin Mompalao, from Xewkija, who had tried to separate them. The two injured men were taken to hospital and the injuries are said not to be life threatening.

Police investigations are ongoing and Magistrate Paul Coppini is holding an inquiry.

      This whole building is now so antiquated, that the out of date label on it has rusted. While all this time they have a building at Xewkija which is being wasted waiting to see what happens to it. Yes I mean the heliport. Believe me there is more security at that waste of a building then there is at the law courts. I really think they should move the whole lot stock and barrel to the Heliport. I know some people are going to say but it will not be the same because it will not be in the capital. but why should the law courts have to be in Victoria? take the parking facilities alone and you know it makes sense
