Three National Awards for Enterprise Support won in Gozo

During a ceremony held on Friday, the Ministry for Fair Competition, Small Business and Consumers Dr Jason Azzopardi, chaired the National Awards for Enterprise Support.

Two Gozo Local Councils and the Gozo Business Chamber won Awards.

The main purpose behind this activity, which has taken place annually over the last three years, is to reward entities that have worked to give their support to entrepreneurship and raising awareness in this area. The competition was open to local councils, public authorities, national organisations, public-private partnerships, educational programmes and businesses.

There were two categories, ‘Local Councils’ and ‘Public Authorities, Educational Programmes and Organisations.

The Victoria Local Council won first place with the ‘Grand Tour of Taste 2011.’ A consolation prize was awarded to Xagra Local Council for its ‘Summer Nights,’ events in 2011.

The Gozo Business Chamber was awarded first place with project: ‘ICT Gozo Malta.’
