Gaulitana: A Festival of Music continues with four more events taking the festival through to the end of April.
On Tuesday the 25th of April, ‘Youth & Music with An Italian Flavour.’ when five young and promising piano students from the piano class of Mro. Giuseppe Fricelli at the Conservatorio L. Cherubini of Florence present several piano works ranging from the classical era to the 20th century.
The concert is being held with the support of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura at the Gozo Ministry in St Francis Square, starting at 7.30pm.
The festival continues on Wednesday, the 25th of April with ’20 Fingers on a Keyboard,’ a Piano Duo. Foremost Italian piano instructor, soloist and composer Mro. Giuseppe Fricelli teams up with his most senior student, Daria Aleshina, for a 4-hand piano recital featuring piano duos from the 19th & 20th century.
The concert is being held with the support of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura at the Gozo Ministry starting at 7.30pm.Friday, the 27th of April sees the first of ‘A Duo for a Celebration,’ Violin & Viola Recital (1). The Giambori Duo, featuring Liz Gardiner (violin) and Chris Redsell (viola), present Redsell’s own arrangement of Bach’s Goldberg Variations.
This lunchtime concert is being held at the Gharb Basilica at 12.30pm in collaboration with the Gharb Local Council.
Again on Friday, the 27th of April, ‘Music in 2 Voices,’ Violin & Viola Recital (2). The Giambori Duo – Liz Gardiner (violin) and Chris Redsell (viola) – present their second recital performing a number of duos by Mozart, Martinu and Handel-Halvorsen.
The concert is being held at St. Francis Church, in Victoria at 8.00pm.
