Rural Gozo Photo Competiton by the Gozo Action GroupThe Ministry for Rural and Resources Affairs has announced that a photo competition targeted at Local Action Groups all across the EU has been launched by the European Network for Rural Development (ENRD).

The ‘Images of Rural Europe’ initiative aims to promote and celebrate rural development in Europe. The Maltese National Rural Network shall be actively participating and thus we count on your support to make it a success in promoting the Maltese islands rural characteristics!

The winning photo entries will be displayed at a major exhibition at the prestigious Berlaymont building, in Brussels from 22 June to 10 July, 2012. Moreover, the winner will be invited to attend a high profile awards ceremony, in the presence of the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Dacian Ciolos, on 27 June, 2012. A hardcover glossy photo-book is planned to be published by ENRD later in the year wherein winning photos would be featured.

The Images of Rural Europe photo competition is open to all professional and amateur photographers who are resident in any of the EU Member States. Each entrant may submit as many photos as s/he wishes to the LAGs.

Rural Youth

Rural People

Rural Diversity

The Spirit of LEADER

At regional level Gozo entrants are being asked send in their photographs of rural Gozo, for selection of the best pictures to be submitted to the Images of Rural Europe exhibition.
