The Hunters Federation has said that the decision by the Ornis Commitee not to give a recommendation to the government as to whether or not to open the Spring hunting season was the right one given the current circumstances and implications of the pending European Court case on spring hunting.
The federation said that it was taking this view even though it realised that there might be some who were playing for time because of the forthcoming general election. The federation said that despite the limited time remaining, there was still time for justice that would safeguard the interests and way of life of the hunters.
