A Gozo SPCA makeover for two very friendly little dogs

A team effort from the Gozo SPCA volunteers in Victoria has resulted in a real makeover for these handsome and very friendly little dogs, since they first appeared on Gozo News last Wednesday. They had been abandoned on the Ta’ Cenc cliffs at Sannat and appeared to be traumatised by their experience, a big change to their happy faces now.
The Centre volunteers called them “Fidel (top, left) and Castro on account of their hirsute appearance on arrival,” but they said that “perhaps it should have been Vidal and Sassoon?”Today (Sunday), they have been trotting around the Centre and getting to know everyone. The spokesperson for the Gozo SPCA hope that they will be rehomed (together) soon after their micro chipping and neutering operations next weekend. They have also had a clean bill of health from the vet.
What a difference a day makes!
The Gozo SPCA Rehoming Centre in Victoria held their open morning today, which coincided with the Charity Fair that is held on the adjacent football gound. Both the centre and the Gozo SPCA stall at the Fair, had a great response with visitors, some adoptions and donations.
