Last week, the Franciscan community together with the rest of the Catholic world celebrated the feast of St Francis of Assisi who lived in the Italian region of Umbria between 1182 and 1226, and founded the biggest Religious Order in the Christian world. During last week, the Franciscan Friars of Ghajnsielem organised several activities at St Anthony's Church related with Saint Francis. Alternattiva Demokratika - The Green Party said it is greatly concerned about the effects of the new rates being proposed by the government for water and electricity and is ready to participate in the battle for reasonable and sustainable energy tariffs.
