Alternattiva Demokratika has said that it has had enough of the Libyan authorities attitude towards migrants. Arnold Cassola, AD Chairperson, said, "We are totally appalled at the way Libyan President Gaddafi and his authorities are neglecting basic human rights and indeed are continuously playing about with the lives of human beings by not helping out in the Search and Rescue area assigned to Libya through international law." The England trio of football players of Portsmouth FC; David James, Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe officially launched the club's famous blue shirts for next season that will kick off on the 25th August with the match against Manchester United. The FA Cup holders' new home kit, produced from leading manufacturers Cantebury, will see Pompey revert to an all blue scheme for the 2008/09 season. The shirts are now available for sale from the Football Club Stores and also online at www.store.portsmouthfc.co.uk/airmalta, where Air Malta customers can benefit from a 10% discount. GO recently pledged its support to Competitive Malta - the foundation for National Competitiveness - during a creative thinking workshop for enhanced national competitiveness chaired by Dr Edward de Bono. Corporate leaders, academics, public officials and members of parliament were amongst those attending the workshop. The event was supported by AX Group and held at the Palace Hotel in Sliema. Dr de Bono utilised his creative thinking techniques to stir a discussion that centred on how Malta could harness its strengths so as to garner a stronger competitive advantage.
