Cultural tour of Gozo from Malta

The next in the series of cultural tours organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts with the collaboration of the Malta Tourism Authority and Heritage Malta will take place on Sunday.

The tour will start with a walk from Qala to Nadur and then a demonstration will be given on the extraction of oil from olives and the making of limoncello.

The tour will then visit the Brockdorff Circle in Xaghra, one of the most important archaeological sites in Gozo. The next stop is the salt pans in Qbajjar followed by Gozo Heritage.

Transport will leave Floriana (next to the Independence Monument) and Sliema (opposite Nazzarenu Church) at 7.30 a.m. Departure from Cirkewwa on the ferry is at 9 a.m. and the departure from Gozo is scheduled at 4.30 p.m.

Tickets cost Lm8.40 for adults and Lm7.50 for children and senior citizens. This price does not include the ferry.

Booking can be made by noon tomorrow at the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts offices, 230, Republic Street, Valletta.
