The Teatru tal-Opra Aurora has announced that Giacomo Puccini’s three-act opera Turandot has been chosen to be perfomed for the 2012 season. The Theatre said that it is now customary that it annouces the next season’s opera title, prior to the current year’s opera performance.
Tosca, which is another Puccini all-time favourite, will run on Saturday, October the 15th 2011, while Turandot, the last opera by the same composer, is scheduled for Saturday, October the 13th, 2012. Bookings for Turandot will open after the production of Tosca.
In view of this year’s production, the theatre would like to inform the opera patrons that a free- of-charge shuttle mini-bus service will be in place from the ferry to the theatre and back. Patrons wishing to make use of this service are kindly asked to book their seats by email: email@example.com or by telephone: 21559452 (mornings only).
