Santa Lucija’s Fondazzjoni Ta’ Klula benefits from NGOs fund

The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, met with members of the Fondazzjoni Ta’ Klula of Santa Lucija, who are currently working on a project under the NGOs scheme launched by the Ministry for Gozo associated with the plan of action 2010-2012 on eco-Gozo.
The Fondazzjoni Ta’ Klula project will include the introduction of a heritage trail. The NGO is also working on two booklets which aim to promote the historical and cultural heritage which makes up the characteristic village of Santa Lucija. One of the booklets will cover the prehistoric and medieval sites in the area, while the other will consist of a collection of village legends.
The booklets will also be able to be viewed on-line, so will be accessible to everyone and is aimed at promoting Gozo as a distinct tourist destination.
The Fondazzjoni Ta’ Klula will benefit from assitance of over €9,000 from the Ministry for Gozo under this scheme, which represents 95% of project cost.
