E.R.R.C. saves child from drowning at Ramla Bay

E.R.R.C. saves child saved from drowning at Ramla BayEarlier this afternoon, a five-year old boy was saved from drowning at Ramla Bay Gozo. Water rescuers and lifeguards form the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps noticed that a child was in difficulties, one of the lifeguards immediately towed the boy to safety.

The young boy, was given first aid on the scene and later transferred to the Gozo General Hospital via an ambulance. The E.R.R.C. would like to thank a doctor who assisted the team and the staff of the Gozo General Hospital.

The Lifeguarding service at Ramla is being run on a daily basis till the end of September.

The service is possible due to the support from The Ministry for Gozo – Eco Gozo, the Malta Tourism Authority and the Gaia Foundation.
