Violin recital at Christ the King’s Church Xaghra on Thursday

This coming Thursday, the 5th of May 2011, the Gaulitanus Choir in collaboration with the Xaghra Local Council will present a Violin Recital featuring renowned Italian violinist Andrea Scaramella who will be in Malta for this occasion.
Born in Vicenza, Andrea studied at the Conservatory of his hometown with Sonig Tchakerian and Enrico Balboni, graduating in 1990 with honors in Violin and Viola in 1992 and simultaneously to scientific maturity.
He then completed from 1990 to 1993 with Corrado Romano at the Academy "L. Of Biella, graduating Academic International. He simultaneously attended the summer courses taught by Franco Gulli in Riva del Garda. From 1993 to 1998 she studied with Pavel Vernikov, Zinahida Gilels, Iljia Grubert, Matis Waitsner Volochine and Igor at the Fondazione "S. Cecilia "in Portsmouth.
Andrea recently received the first violinist in Italy, the Academic Degree Second Degree Violin solo to address, with honors, honors and honorable mention under the guidance of Maestro Marco Rogliano at the Conservatory of Rovigo.
He has participated in numerous festivals and competitions, always placing themselves at the top (1st place at the XVII International Competition "Città di Stresa" and others). He also won the fitness at the National Competition for teaching at the conservatories of the State for the Chair of Violin.
As a soloist Andrea debuted in Venice, performing the Bruch’s First Violin Concerto with the Symphony Orchestra of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), the direction of Maestro F. Milone. He is currently Principal First Violin Chamber Orchestra "Città di Thiene, working as a master conductor with major artists such as Richard Galliano, Lee Konitz, Paolo Fresu, Richard Brazzale, Andrea Bacchetti, Gianpaolo Bisanti, and recording a CD with music Lorenzo Signorini Thienese the composer for the Rainbow Classic.
Andrea recently performed as soloist with the Baroque violin and viola d’amore, by running with it premiered at the Festival International Osor (Croatia), among other things, the Movement for viola d’amore and strings Mroslav Miletic, in the presence of the author.
Andrea currently works, again, as a soloist with I Musici Veneziani running of "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi, with more than 70 concerts a year and frequent tours in Italy and abroad. He is very active as a chamber musician in various groups, especially in duo with pianist Fred raft, and in trio with the pianist and cellist Joseph Zuccon Maurizio Ghiotto Galvanelli.
Already the holder of the chair since 2006 of violin at the Conservatorio "G. Venom from "Power, this year is professor of violin at the Conservatory" J. Tomadini "in Udine. It is also professor of violin at the Music Institute Veneto City of Thiene "since 1995.
Andrea plays a violin G. B. Ceruti 1793 and a violin Giulio Degani 1911.
Amongst the musical works which are going to be performed, one may mention:
(f) Fantasia in B major – Georg Philip Telemann;
(g) Toccata and fugue in A minor – Johann Sebastian Bach;
(h) Partita n.2 in D minor – Johann Sebastian Bach;
(i) Caprice n.6 Opus 1 – Nicoló Paganini; and
(j) Caprice n. 9 Opus 1 (The Haunting) – Nicoló Paganini.
This recital is going to be held in Christ the King Church (Xaghra) and starts at 7.30pm.
