San Lawrenz Local Council has said that access to free Wi-Fi is now available in the village square. The Council said that for everyone’s comfort this is accessible not only from the square but also from the nearby streets.
This is another initiative that the Local Council is taking together with the Malta Communications Authority to bring local residents closer to the world of information.
The San Lawrenz Local Council said it was a pioneer from the start when it opened its offices, offering the Internet for students from the locality to do their research. After this positive experience the Central Government began to offer the possibility that all Local Councils in Malta and Gozo install a computer in the offices so that Internet could be accessible to their residents.
Besides the square, the Local Council is also offering free Internet in the proximity of its offices.
