Cruise ship MS Island Sky stops off for brief visit to GozoThe passenger ship MS Island Sky called in briefly on a visit to Gozo.. The vessel was carrying 83 passengers, most of them from the United Kingdom and 69 members of the crew. The Malta agents for the ship, Thomas Smith, said that although it is small in size, the MS Island Sky offers a five star level of service and facilities. The tour of Mediterranean countries has so far included stops in the ports of Jordan, Egypt and Libya.

Captain Torbjörn Svensson, welcomed the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, when she made a brief visit on the MS Island Sky. Also present was Mr. Joe Gerada, Managing Director of Thomas Smith, Malta agents of the ship. The Minister for Gozo thanked Captain Svensson, together with the agents who were instrumental in the visit of the MS Island Sky to Gozo.

The Ministry for Gozo said that seven passenger ships have so far called into Gozo, between them carrying around 3,050 people.

      Big deal these passengers will fit in two Coaches easily.

      Minister we want cruise ships anchoring at Xlendi that got much more tourists.

      Sometimes having two coaches with well to do tourists, better than having 10 Coaches with tourists that spend no money at all . .. Walter .from Xaghra .
