Photographic Exhibition by Daniel Cilia at Circolo Gozitana

On the 22nd of October 2010, the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, inaugurated an exhibition of photography by renowned Gozitan photographer Daniel Cilia at the Circolo Gozitano.
Cilia started his photographic career 25 years ago at the Circolo with his first ever solo exhibition. Present for the opening were the committee of the Circolo Gozitano, members, family and friends. The president of the Circolo Dr. Joseph Ellis introduced the photographer and also talked about how the Circolo Gozitano, established at Victoria, Gozo in 1913, always safeguarded and promoted Gozo’s identity and it’s traditions, while fostering the policy of neutrality from any form of politics.
The exhibition is being held as part of the activities for Gozo Day. Gozo Day the date of the capitulation capitulation of the French in Gozo on 28 October 1798. This day saw the start of a 22 month period of autonomous governace for Gozo under the leadership of the Gozitan Archpriest Saverio Cassar.
The exhibition will remain open till Wednesday 10th November 2010 at 6, Sir. Adrian Dingli Str. Victoria Gozo, daily from 6.30 pm till late.
The exhibition is sponsored by Fujitech Centre, Qormi. All profits from the sales will go towards the Community Chest Fund.
