Assia was also the Welfare Officer for the British Residents Asociation, Gozo Branch, she comforted many of our members during their moments of need.

My wife and I were able to spend some time with Assia on the 15th October, at Mater Dei, it was good quality time. Although she was in good spirits, she was worrried about her operation, she was also worried about us getting back to Gozo. She told us some jokes, made us laugh and walked to the door with us, and that is the last we saw of her..

We will remember her, as a happy compassionate person who was very loving, she cared about people. She always gave us a hug and a kiss, we will realy miss her. We are glad that we went to see her before she departed.
