Wirt Ghawdex in conjunction with the Ministry for Gozo recently held the book launch of Prof. Horatio C.R. Vella’s latest book – ‘The Earliest Church Register in Gozo – 1554 – 1628?
The author chose Gozo to launch this book since it is a transcription and a study of the register housed at the Gozo Bishop’s Curia.
A panel of three (Prof. Stanley Fiorini, Rev. Dr. Joseph Bezzina & Mr. George F. Vella) introduced the book. The author signed copies of his book after the lecture.
The Minister for Gozo,.Giovanna Debono, presided over the book launch, which was held at the Gozo Ministry, St Francis Square, Victoria. Mr. Anton Tabone was also present.
