The Minister of Finance, Economy and Investment, Tonio Fenech announced this morning that starting next Monday, the 26th of July 2010, the distribution of compensation cheques will get underway for families to meet the increase in international energy prices, as was promised in the last budget. .
The Minister said that it is a one-off payment and will result in about 97% of Maltese households that will have benefited from some form of aid and who do not already benefit from energy-benefit vouchers
The benefits, will entitle a person living on their own to €55, while a family of two will benefit from €80. Three people living under the same roof will benefit from €105, while four people will benefit from €130. Five people will benefit from €155 and six people living together will benefit from €180.














Where is my compensation????? Apparently noone seems to care to check about this. Why haven’t we received it yet!!!
