JP2 collective exhibition at the Cittadella CentreJP2 Memorial Festival is being organised for the 5th year by the JP2 Foundation. The aim of this festival is to honour the memory of Pope John Paul II.

On Sunday, the 2nd of May 2010 at the Cittadella Centre for Culture & Arts an International Collective Art Exhibition called “GENTES” was inaugurated by the Parliamentary Assistant to the Ministry for Gozo, Fredrick Azzopardi.

The Second edition of Gentes is hosting three different sections. The first section is holding 14 artists, five Maltese, four Italian and five Armenian. These artists exhibiting under the theme Gentes revealed a completely different creativity not only as individuals by also as a nation. In perfect harmony the paintings of each artist where exhibited one next to the other alternatively according to nationality.

The second section is hosting an exhibition of Pauline devotion called “1950 with Paul.”

The third section is “Gentes Youths and Students,” Five Gozitan students together with five Sicilian Students are participating in this section.

Entrance to the exhibition is free and the general public is warmly invited to attend. It will remain open until Sunday, the 30th of May, from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 3pm and on Saturdays and Sundays between 11am and 3pm.
