Said Chris talked about the importance of each local council being made a ‘one stop shop’ offering the best service to residents. To achieve this the council must have a good place to work and the Government is doing its utmost to help in this matter, such as local civic centre. The Xaghra Local Council has work underway on their new civic centre which will enable Xaghra residents to benefit from better services.

Joseph Camilleri was also a photographer and his photographs have now passed to the parish to be put on display as museum exhibits. Parliamentary Secretary Chris Said, described Mr Camilleri as a model citizen that not only worked in many areas of his community, but is able to see that his work is not lost and will still be enjoyed by future generations.
