The residents of San Lawrenz recently saw the start of postal services from their Local Council Offices. Now from early morning residents come to pay their bills and utilise the various other services. The postal service is available every morning from Monday to Friday.

The first day of operating the post office attracted many stamp collectors, for philatelists this was a significant day. Many spent a long time having their first day covers stamped with the brand new stamp bearing the name of the new branch. One philatelist also donated a hand made commemoration of the day, which is to be kept in the council offices.
