The stories covered in this weeks issue are:
1. It is an established tradition that the Gozo Bishop meets with persons who are involved in all media on the liturgical day of Saint Francis de Sales, 22th January.
The programme of the meeting consisted in a concelebrated mass led by Gozo Bishop, Mgr. Mario Grech together with Mgr. Carmelo Scicluna and Can. Eddie Zammit at the chapel of Franciscan sister in Palm street, Victoria. Members of the media took part in the mass. The Bishop delivered the homily. A get together was held with the Gozo Bishop after the mass.
2. Mari Gwann Rapa of Ghajnsielem celebrated her 100th birthday with a thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at St Anthony church, Ghajnsielem, on Sunday, January 17. After Mass Mrs Rapa was presented with flowers sent to her by President George Abela, followed by a reception at Centru Sant’ Antnin. Ms Rapa lives at Porzuncola Home, Mgarr, Malta, where she has resided for the past eight years.
