The Health Department has announced that by yesterday evening a total of 45,669 persons hadd been vaccinated .
The break down is as follows:
· 564 Government employed doctors, amounting to 85% of doctors who work with the Government;
· 971 physician working in the Private Sector.
· 1301 nurses.
· 568 pregnant women (96 of them physicians).
· 4760 Other health workers.
· 37, 505 people with chronic illnesses.
The process of vaccination for people with chronic problems and pregnant women is ongoing. Those who fall in either of theses two categories and are not yet vaccinated, are encouraged to go take the vaccine from the following:
Health Centers – 3.00pm-7.00pm.
Gozo General Hospital – 8.00am to 1.00pm
