This year FAA was not competing for the EU Voluntary Worker award but was invited to return to address the NGOs at the Forum.
Astrid Vella, FAA Coordinator who won the Special Jury Prize last year, gave a motivational speech, relating FAA’s track record over the past 12 months to the problems and opportunities facing NGOs on the continent. The 2009 edition was won by Christine Buckley, the Irish contestant who has fought tirelessly for the rights of victims of abuse.
Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahjar

Well done to Astrid Vella and Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahjar. It reflects very well on Malta that this was the only NGO invited back this year to address the Forum. It shows the great respect in which this particular NGO is held.
” Prosit ” Astred Vella the best FAA coordinator in Malta and Gozo.
Congratulations Astrid, we are all so proud of you and the FAA team. I wonder how many people realise just what you have done for Malta?
I know that it is hard, but please keep fighting for the environment and the wonderful buildings which are part of the heritage which belongs to all Maltese and Gozitans and not just a select few!
Well done to Christine Buckley as well in her fight for the victims of abuse!
