On Sunday 20th December, the Nativitas Choir is holding a concert The Glories of Christmas held at Dun Alwig Camilleri Hall, Victory Band Club, Xaghra. The carol singing and instrumental pieces will start off at 7 p.m.

On Sunday 20th December, The Ghaqda Muzikali Vizitazzjoni is holding an end of year concert at the Gharb Parish Church, between 7.30 p.m. and 9.00 p.m.

An artistic crib by Charles Camilleri from Nadur, is being exhibited on Sunday 20th December at the Banca Giuratale between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. The exhibition will remain open until the 3rd January 2009, from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

On the 20th December, Colori di Sicilia, a collective art exhibition held by 8 Sicilian Artists at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and Arts is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Between Monday to Friday it is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. This exhibition is closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and will remain open until Monday 4th January 2010.

The Christmas Grand Concert by the Laudate Pueri Choir will be held at the Collegiate Basilica of the Nativity of Our Lady in Xaghra on the 22nd December at 7.30 p.m. The choir is under the direction of Fr George Frendo and Dr. Maria Frendo.Donations will be collected for the Community Chest Fund. Entrance is Free.

A procession with Baby Jesus animated by Carol Singing will be held around Xlendi Streets on the 24th December 2009. It will be followed by a Nativity Play and a Christmas Sermon by one of the Xlendi altar boys. The procession will start at 8 p.m.

On Christmas Eve, at 11.00 p.m. carol singing with the participation of the Nativitas Choir is to be held at the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu, followed by a procession with the statue of Baby Jesus.

The Christmas Nativity Pageant and Procession organised by the Society of Christian Doctrine is to be held on the 24th December at 7 p.m. around Nadur main streets. The Mnarja Band together with the Museum Choir will sing carols during the procession.

The 40th edition of the Christmas Pageant in San Lawrenz, organised by the Ghaqda Drammatika San Lawrenz will be held on Christmas Eve at 8.30 p.m. at Saint Lawrence Square.

On Christmas Day, a procession with the statue of Baby Jesus, will be held along the main streets of Xaghra at 4.30 p.m. The Victory Band (A.D. 1898) of Xaghra, accompanies the tradition annual Christmas procession, organised by the MUSEUM Society.

On Christmas Day, a grand Christmas Concert will be held at the Nadur Basilica, starting at 7 p.m. The concert will be under the direction of Mro Antoine Theuma with a strong choir of 60 children and local singers. Recital of poems, a short play and the traditional child sermon will also be included in the programme.

A live crib organised by The Guiding Light Youth Group, will be located in an old farmhouse at Mannar Str in Xaghra, next to Jesus of Nazareth Church from the 25th December till the 1st January 2010.
