Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre celebrates 20th anniversary

The Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts will be holding a tribute to the renowned Gozitan artist Wistin Camilleri whilst celebrating the 20th Anniversary from the centre’s opening.
The event will be held at the centre in J.F. De Chambray Str. In Ghajnsielem on Friday, the 18th of December 2009.
A monument of the artist will be installed within the grounds of the centre bearing his name.
The monument was made by Wistin’s son, Alfred Camilleri Cauchi, whilst the artist’s grandson Josef Camilleri worked a base for the monument.
16:00hrs Official unveiling of the artist’s monument by Giovanna Debono, Minister for Gozo and blessing by H.E. Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo.
16:45hrs Inauguration of an exhibition showing items and artefacts produced by participants.
17:00hrs Tour of the new wing at the centre and subject orientation during the performance of lessons.
18:00hrs Puppet Show featured in a mobile theatre commissioned by the Gozo College and produced by instructors at the Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts. The theatre is to be handed over to the Gozo College in order to perform puppet shows in schools around Gozo.
