Victor Agius represents Malta at Florence art exhibitionThe Internal Committee of the Florence Biennale of Contemporary Art has invited Victor Agius to be one of the artists to exhibit his works in this highly prominent exhibition of world fame. He is putting on show two large paintings entitled ‘Ggantija’ (80cmx120cm) and ‘Praesepium’(100×160cm), which are rendered in an abstracted idiom with mixed media and object-trouve. On an international scale he has also participated in the Ceramic Triennale of the Domenican Republic and has exhibited his works in shows held at the Bricklane Gallery in London, in Paris, Milan and in Florence.

The seventh edition of this Biennale is going to be held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence between the 5th and 13th of December, under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano.

Agius’s participation is being sponsored by Gozo Express Services Ltd. as part of their activities to commemorate their 10th anniversary of operation in Gozo
