The stories covered in this weeks issue are:
1. The St. Gregory Band Club of Kercem has been organising Festubru – a three day event at the picturesqe Lunzjata Valley. All the activities focused on traditional and folkloristic issues which definitely blended well with the medieval place.
The activities ranged from guided tours for children and adults, the launching of a local wine, literature evening, a spectacular show with falcons amongst others.
Not withstanding the inclement weather this event attracted an encouraging attendance for most of the activities.
Photo by Charles Spiteri: George N. Cassar, ex-Lyceum Headmaster presents his newly published book Zmien il-Hsad to the President of the St. Gregory Band, Dr Joshua Grech, during a literary evening at the Lunzjata Valley.
This interesting book of 136 pages comprises a collection of over thirty essays in Maltese and varied other writings. It is available from leading booksellers and sells for 5 euro.
