Bank of Valletta is supporting ‘Something Different’, an art exhibition by Henry Alamango being held at the Banca Giuratale in Victoria Gozo. The exhibition is being inaugurated on Saturday, the 31st October 2009 and has also attracted the active support of the Ministry for Gozo.
The exhibition theme is “Something Different,” denoting the artist’s venture into alternative ways and techniques of expressing the natural and social charms of these islands. Whereas Henry Alamango’s works have hitherto been rooted in a romanticised watercolour diffusion of landscapes and seascapes, this year’s exhibition also introduces more urban themes, all executed with an abundant use of pen and inks and tending towards a more vibrant application of colour.
Edward Muscat Azzopardi, Head Marketing at Bank of Valletta presented the Bank’s sponsorship to the artist during a courtesy visit to his studio in Senglea. “Bank of Valletta’s long-standing support for the local arts and culture scene continues to be sustained through the sponsorship of such art exhibitions. We are glad to make these contributions which assist artists of genres to develop their skills and showcase their works,” said Mr Muscat Azzopardi.
The exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday, the 22nd of November 2009.
