This year’s edition of Festival Mediterranea returns with the popular Heritage Events series led by Dr David Trump, including the exclusive Hypogeum tours.
Four visits are scheduled in all; on Wednesday, the 4th of November 2009, at 9.00am and 10.00am and on Friday, the 6th ofNovember 2009, at 10.00 and 11.00am.
Places for these tours are very limited and are assigned strictly on a first-come first served basis.
Other heritage-related events led by Dr Trump in this year’s edition of Festival Mediterranea include:
- Public Lecture – ‘An Archaeologist seeks Religion’ – Wednesday, the 28th of October 2009 – Ministry for Gozo Halls, 5.00pm,
- Tour of Ggantija Temples – Friday, the 30th of October 2009, 2.30pm.
- Tour of the Museum of Archaeology, Victoria – Monday, the 2nd of November 2009, 10.00am
- Conference – ‘Conservation – Nature and Archaeology’ – Tuesday, the 3rd of November 2009 – Ministry for Gozo Halls, 5.00pm
- Tour of the Museum of Archaeology, Valletta – Wednesday, the 4th of November 2009, 1.30pm
- A visit to Mgarr and Skorba Temples in Malta on Friday, the 6th of November 2009, at 2.00pm.

Festival Mediterranea also includes several concerts and musical appointments, the highlight of which is the opera ‘Rigoletto’ held this Thursday and Saturday. Very few remaining tickets are available, including special student prices.
