Volunteers in Ghajnsielem have started work on the first structures of the nativity village at ‘Ta Passi’ and after just 2 days, ‘Bethlehem f’ Ghajnsielem’ is already starting to take shape.
Children cleaned the surrounding fields which were littered with rubbish, glass and weeds. Other volunteers erected the first two structures which will host the carpenter and blacksmith houses. Visitors to this village, will this year have the opportunity to experience these houses from the inside. Work on the village is expected to continue next week. Floodlights have also been installed so that work can continue after dusk.
Ghajnsielem Local Council said that ‘Bethlehem f’ Ghajnsielem 09′ again guarantees to offer a naturalistic reproduction of the environ of Bethlehem with a local touch of Ghajnsielem.
The nativity village is expected to be inaugurated on the 12th of December and will remain open for 4 weeks. Volunteers are invited to give a helping hand while several actors and extras are needed to animate the crib. More details can be obtained from Franco Ciangura on +356 99849250
