Carmen to follow a sold-out Aida at the AuroraWith a week to go for Verdi’s Aida, the Teatru tal-Opra Aurora has decided to stage Georges Bizet’s ‘Carmen’ as the main highlight of the 2010/11 theatrical season.

Just like Aida, Carmen returns to the Aurora stage after 10 years. Bizet’s opera in 4 acts is scheduled for Saturday, October 16th 2010. The announcement of Carmen, another major crowd-puller, comes at a point when all tickets for the single performance of Aida next week have been sold out.

In view of this, the theatre is making an ad hoc seating arrangement and issuing a limited number of discounted tickets for this Aida at EUR40.00 each in the upper tier. These can be booked from the theatre’s booking office (+356 21559452 / +356 21562974). More information is always available on www.teatruaurora.com or any of the contact points.

The Teatru tal-Opra Aurora would like to thank all the sponsors and volunteers, as well as the general public and the media for contributing in no small measure towards yet another operatic venture in Gozo possible.

Aida is being produced under the distinguished patronage of H.E. Dr George Abela, President of Malta, at the Aurora Theatre in Victoria Gozo, on Saturday, October the 0th 2009.
