An Armed Forces of Malta Bulldog aircraft with two crew members on board was forced to make an emergency landing near Dwerja yesterday evening. The aircraft was extensively damaged but fortunately the two crew members only sustained minor injuries.
The aircraft came down in the area known as Tas-Slima in the limits of San Lawrenz, after the aircraft developed technical problems. The two crew members were taken to St Lukes hospital and treated for shock.
