Vodafone Malta has launched a competition whereby females will have the chance to be voted as Vodafone Girls, featuring in selected Vodafone’s advertising campaigns and representing Vodafone at various events. The winner will present one of the Malta Music Awards on Vodafone’s behalf.
Finalists will also win some of Vodafone’s most innovative data products including Vodafone Mini PC, BlackBerry® smartphones and Vodafone Internet Key. This competition is open for females between 18 and 28 years. All Vodafone and non Vodafone customers can apply and applications are open until 28 September.
To apply, interested females are invited to send an email to VodafoneGirls.mt@vodafone.com with their contact details and including two portrait pictures of themselves, with one close up facial shot and one full length, together with 100 words describing themselves.
On the 29th of September, 10 finalists are chosen by Vodafone to continue their participation in the Vodafone Girls Competition. All finalists’ photos will then be uploaded on Vodafone’s Facebook page at www.faceboook.com/pages/Birkirkara-Malta/Vodafone-Malta.
Between the 1st and 14th of October, everyone is invited to vote for these girls by simply sending an SMS to 99180004 with the name of the chosen girl in the message. Voters also get a chance to win Vodafone prizes, including a Vodafone Internet Key once a week. Cost for this SMS is €0.05c, exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes.
On the 16th of October, the final five (5) Vodafone Girls will be announced. Between 19 October and 6 November, voting will be held through Facebook only. On 10th November, the winning Vodafone Girl is announced. She will get a Vodafone Mini PC and will present one of the Malta Music Awards in Vodafone’s name on the 22nd of November 2009. The final four (4) Vodafone Girls will win a BlackBerry® smartphone each. The other five (5) finalists will each win a Vodafone Internet Key.
“We are on the look out for 10 females to compete for the title of Vodafone Girls. The winner will be voted out of the five finalists solely by Facebook users so we encourage everyone to visit our Facebook page and vote for their favourite one. There are lots of prizes for all participants and voters during these coming days,” said Michael Darmanin, Head of Marketing at Vodafone Malta.
