Alternattiva Demokrattika is currently drafting a policy for Animal Welfare as a part of the next general elections electoral programme.
The general public is being invited to submit proposals via email addressed to Mr Simon Galea on simonmlt@hotmail.com. A public consultation will be held later next month where all stakeholders, particularly animal rights activists, will be invited to participate. Coordinators Simon Galea and Ralph Cassar (Spokesperson on Energy and the Environment) will address the public consultation. Simon Galea can also be contacted on 79051243.
AD said that they appreciate everyone’s contribution, and are issuing this notice to ensure that they draft a policy that truly reflects everybody’s ideas and proposals, not just those who have access to NGOs and animal rights groups.

IT MIGHT BE WORTH RAISING THE ISSUE OF WHAT GOVERNMENT FUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE OR ALLOCATED TOWARD AN UPGRADED ANIMAL SANCTUARY AFTER THE NEXT ELECTIONS.
There seem to have been alot of promises but to date, nothing seems to have materialised ie: proposed sanctuary in Ta Qali.
